I remember when I started working in sales (many years ago), someone said to me, ‘People buy from people’. Personal relationships between a business and their clients cannot be underestimated. Your image needs to show personality and every business needs headshots with a difference.

So what do businesses do now? The big challenge in this current climate is depicting that personal relationship on a website or social media platform. It is now more important than ever, to have a good on line presence. The images you present of yourself and your business needs to marry with what you are doing and how you work. With this in mind I have recently worked with a number of clients to help them improve their online presence. For some people this might just be updating their linkedin profile image. For others it has involved more, with a branding project.

Branding or headshots or both I have really enjoyed this work. A branding story is so exciting. There is a story behind every organisation. There is a person or people behind all these organisations. It has been a pleasure getting to know these new clients and their businesses. The challenge for me has been to get their story across in images. I have loved this work. I worked for years in Sales and Marketing and I know the importance of an image complementing the brand’s story. The mix of headshots and branding images has been great fun, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I obviously love portraits and I have rediscovered how much I enjoy documentary style imagery to tell a brands story.
